The Steve Irwin Gala Dinner celebrates the life and legacy of the original Wildlife Warrior - Steve Irwin. All proceeds from this fundraising dinner help Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, to continue the conservation work Steve was so passionate about.

In 2014, the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner was celebrated in style at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. With 500 guests attending, all wearing a touch of khaki, over $100,000 was raised for wildlife conservation!

Our goal is to continue to keep Steve's dream alive; to celebrate the life of the one and only Crocodile Hunter and to raise vital funds for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.

This first-class evening includes a sumptuous three-course dinner, premium beverages and live entertainment. Unique experiences and exclusive auction items will be going under the hammer throughout the evening PLUS you'll have the opportunity to meet some of our gorgeous animals on the night.

Khaki is not just a colour.  It's an attitude!

Paul De Gelder

Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. These three words – a mantra Paul learnt in the Australian Army as a young Paratrooper – resonated with him the first time he heard them. Paul chased adventure wherever he could find it, from his wild ride as a hoodlum teen and his life on the edge, to hauling his way up to the elite echelons of Australia’s defence forces.

But trouble hunted him down in the form of a brutal shark attack in February 2009. Paul lost two limbs, and his career as a daredevil Navy Bomb Clearance Diver was flung into jeopardy.

Drawing on everything his eventful life had taught him, Paul left nothing to chance in his recovery. He fought through excruciating pain, smashing challenge after challenge, and amazing the medical staff with his will to succeed. His inspiring story takes ‘never say die’ to a whole new level.

An amazing man, an amazing story. Paul will simply inspire you.
